Schools
Wear gold, use a ready-made assembly, share age-appropriate information and help families recognise the gold ribbon.
Our aim is simple: get the childhood cancer gold ribbon into schools, workplaces, businesses, sports clubs and communities, then make it easy for other areas to join in as well.

We do not want participation to depend on having a big budget or a fundraising team. Wearing gold, putting up the ribbon, running an assembly, lighting a building or sharing accurate information can all be part of it.
Wear gold, use a ready-made assembly, share age-appropriate information and help families recognise the gold ribbon.
Give the ribbon visibility, involve staff and customers, and use materials that explain what Childhood Cancer Awareness Month actually means.
Sports clubs, community groups and local organisations can take part in a way that suits what they already do.

Our first focus is Greater Manchester. The ambition is bigger than that, but we would rather build something useful locally and give other areas a clear way to join than pretend it is national before it is ready.
Organisations that register interest will be the first to receive the Go Gold pack as it develops. That will include clear campaign information, printable resources, digital graphics and practical ideas for taking part.
The final Go Gold Day date within September 2027 will be confirmed before the campaign opens formally.
Tell us who you are. This is not a fundraising commitment. It simply means we can send you the campaign information when it is ready.
